Justice Dept. Probing Domestic Spying Leak

Great news! We need someone on top of all of this out of control leaking business for sure. President Bush has always been one to get to the bottom of leaks. By the way, how about a probe of the domestic spying too!

Update: White House denies calling for probe

Well shucks, it wasn’t the President after all is the world from Crawford via Australia. It was that devil-may-care Gonzales acting independently with no input from the White House at all. I guess I we those Liberals someone just made the assumption that they talk to each other.

This should be a leak that is applauded instead of indicted. Your point on the investigation of the spying itself is the key it appears to me. I have concern that this move is meant to cover the real law breaking.

An addendum, and from the article you cite to boot:

“It’s pretty stunning that, rather than focus on whether the president broke his oath of office and broke federal law, they are going after the whistleblowers,” said Anthony D. Romero, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union
