imagine…

Posted on Tuesday 23 May 2006

The Internet is abuzz about Jason Leopold’s truthout article. Is he crazy? Was he tricked? etc. Imagine another possibility – that at the time he published his article, what he said was 100% true, his sources 100% truthful. That assumption leads to a lot more interesting speculations than the Howard Kurtz’s dismissive barbs.

"In NEWS JUNKIE, the cutthroat worlds of journalism, politics, and high finance are laid bare by Jason Leopold, whose addictive tendencies led him from a life of drug abuse and petty crime to become an award-winning investigative journalist who exposed some of the biggest corporate and political scandals in recent American history."

Given the way things are playing out, that assumption leads to just two options:

  1. Negotiations continue and the game of chess is coming to a climax.
  2. The possibility raised by the Kos post, that the government has quashed the indictment.

Somebody should know the answer to that question. I think we’d be better off sticking with Jason until he’s absolutely proved wrong. The possibilities if he’s right are just too important to ignore. If he was dead wrong, it just doesn’t matter. But if he was right, and we think he was wrong, we’re falling for a typical Administration tactic – big lie, backed up by the MSM!

Lloyd Bentsen is dead (and I don’t feel too great about all this myself).

“…However the problem is that Viveca, says she thinks the conversation took place in either March or May 2004.”

Worth a gander, but it sure seems like the words FORGED NIGER DOCS oughtta be in the vernacular by now. Think I’ll drop Pat Roberts a line RE: PHASE II…

Incidentally, another Benador-linked neocon is the well-known propagandist Laurie Mylroie, who co-wrote a book on Saddam Hussein with Judith Miller. Dr. Barry Rubin, the proprietor of the Middle East Review of International Affairs (often considered a MOSSAD front) is also in the Benador orbit.
