Yesterday’s Menthe left coaster

I think they want us to all join hands and forgive them. After all, they said they made a few mistakes [grammatical mistakes] and such. I think they want us to forget that getting into this mess was because they openly lied to get us there. They want us to see the current Iraq, a cauldron of Militant Islam, as better than Saddam’s Iraq. I think they want us to forget that our unprovoked invasion of a foreign country, our torture policy there, our recent massacre of civilians, the degradation of our own Constitution, the fact that we’re still there shooting real bullets and dying – they want us to see these things as water over the bridge.

The first thing I want is to see is both of them out of office, preferrably in courts of law. The second thing I want to see is a government in place that respects what our government is supposed to be – of the people, by the people, and for the people. Thirdly, I’d like to hear the people who voted for Mr. Bush and supported his policies say they’re sorry, to the whole world.

Frankly, I don’t know if we can even go back to where we were a few short years ago. I’m wondering if we don’t need to start over. But this I know. It’s not for George Bush or Tony Blair to tell us what to feel or think about anything. The articles above are right. They are Yesterday’s Men
