Ann Coulter [almost]

Posted on Tuesday 6 June 2006

It must be awful to be almost pretty, almost sexy, and almost smart if you think of yourself as pretty, sexy, and smart. Take Ann Coulter, for example. On the Today Show this morning, she did her skimpily-clad, ready to fight, sarcastic number in spades with Matt Lauer. She was talking about the Democratic doctrine of infallability – "using" 911 widows or Cindy Sheehan, people who can’t be argued with. It’s a peculiar argument. In the first place, I don’t think the Democrats went and got these people. It was the other way around.

Her point [I think] was that it’s not fair to "use" true victims because you can’t easily attack and hate them. She says this while "using" her almost pretty, almost sexy self to spew her almost psychotic vitriole, claiming to be a Christian Soldier crusading to put God back in the world [she doesn’t look or act that part]. She would be better placed as the antagonist in a Cirque du Soleil script about Dante’s rings of Hell – no costume required.

The good news? She was very boring…

I say let’s give her the old witch test and see if she floats. If she does she’s a witch and deserves to go fight in the war. If she doesn’t then we don’t have to worry about her particular psychotic ramblings anymore.
