the paranoid paradox…

Howard Kurtz’s A Hard Right Punch: Michelle Malkin’s Conservative Fight Has Others Coming Out Swinging in the Washington Post today is hard not to come out swinging against. It paints Michelle Malkin as a martyr, firmly standing up to bigotry and persecution – an Ann Coulter sans anorrhexia. Like Ann, Michelle interprets the attacks on her as driven by the hateful, unsavory motives in others, rather than as reactions to her own outrageous provocations. Hers is a well known paranoid dilemma: Make yourself a target, then attack people for shooting at you. I guess it sort of works, but it’s only for devotees. I’ll pass on the invitation to come out swinging and simply say, "Great article Michelle! Have a fine day."
