The Gulf of Tonkin Incident as we heard about it in August 1964 never happened. It was as fictional as the Niger Yellowcake Uranium Forgeries or Douglas Feith’s al-Qaeda/Iraq Connections in the lead-up to the Iraq War. It appears that our two most disasterous wars, Viet Nam and Iraq, were started by Presidents of the United States - Lyndon Baines Johnson and George W. Bush.
