Were I Rush Limbaugh, and Barack Obama had picked as his running mate a 44 year old hockey mom [and former beauty queen] who had worked her way from the P.T.A. to being governor of Alaska for a year and a half, I would be having a royal field day. But I’m not Rush Limbaugh, and I heard Sarah Palin speak this morning, and I thought she was impressive. I’m forever trapped in a Liberal Democrat’s body, and I can’t escape. I’ll never know the joys of generating Rovian Talking Points, or the pleasure of Limbaughing other people. Score one Maverick point for John McCain…

I think the proves again that big oil can take you places I’m not convinced that if McCain kicked the bucket in a year she’d be the one I’d want leading this country. I”m positive that I don’t. And I hope the fence sitters take her qualifications and private interest to heart when they hit the polls. She’s the best VP choice McCain could have made from this Dems point of view.
