May I ask about national debt counter? I get so depressed looking at that. Are you trying to keep us mindful of this bad news?
This is not the setting to be considering any kind of diagnosis of anyone, and especially not a boy with such a traumatic history and given the enormity of the occasion (performing in competition not only before judges but TV cameras).
If he seemed emotionally stiff and removed — it could be simple anxiety. He is also Asian, and typically they are less emotionally expressive than Westerners, even though his judges were also Asian and were moved to tears.
He has an extraordinary voice. Let’s hope he now has some wise advisers who will help him deal with his new-found opportunities and fame, who will not exploit him and ruin his voice by over-working it.
