Or ‘summer solstice’, if one is in the southern hemisphere. 🙂
I’ve much enjoyed your posts this year and truly appreciate your blog. Although I don’t comment often, this is a ‘must read’ site for me, (including the community of commentators).
I hope you have a great festive season and a wonderful 2014.

I am so full of good cheer and hope, let me quote you from “Groundhog Day”, when Phil Connors is realizing his options with reliving the same day over and over have no hope and options:

“This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off waiting to worship a rat. What a hype. Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out, and they used to eat it. You’re hypocrites, all of you!”

You know, that comment is actually a bit fitting for what this country has deteriorated to in supporting the principles and basic needs for the people. Even agreeing to say “Merry Christmas” is being attacked, not that it applies to me as I am Jewish, but, what the hell are basic principles and beliefs anymore in America these days? We have allowed narcissistic, antisocial, and inconsiderate people set the tone for society for so long, I think the majority of people have no real clue what is honest concern and interest for the well being of the country.

Sorry, it is what it is. Obamacare is going to kill health care for what it should provide, and I think too many people don’t care at the end of the day.

Show me wrong by what you do in 2014. I will gladly thank you for being proven wrong and to instead have hope and faith. Ain’t happen’ today.

Happy Holidays, and New Year. Good luck with that status quo!!!
