“values” voters…

Posted on Friday 12 September 2008

In case you were wondering why John McCain picked Sarah Palin, this is from James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, Action website talking about the Values Voters Summit.

It feels like the “fix” is in. During the Republican Primaries, John McCain shunned the Religious Right who backed Romney or Huckabee. James Dobson and even the Pit Bulls [including Limbaugh] said they would never back McCain. As you can see in the video above, the Republicans threw them a large bone – Sarah Palin. It doesn’t make any difference to these people how much Palin is discredited, they are “values voters.” Those values are anti-Abortion, anti-Homosexuality, anti-Stem Cell Research, anti-Evolution, anti-Separation of Church and State, and pro-National Rifle Association. Nothing else matters. All criticism of her is cast aside as vicious Liberal Media attacks. The size of this voter bloc in 2008 only hinges on one thing – how many of these people are still as much a group of whacked out, unthinking sheep who are blind to the actual fate of this country as there were in 2000 and 2004? I don’t know that we have any control over the answer to that question. It’s literally in the hands of God…
