Back in 1996, I was on a fishing trip ino Florida, but on the side of my mind, I was thinking about a lecture I was giving on PTSD when I got back. At a bait shop, I saw this headline. It was the first anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing. The article had interviews of the survivors who’d been nearby. I thought this quote was a perfect description of PTSD, so I bought the paper and made a slide. I still think it’s the best description I’ve ever run across of how such things effect the mind.
