She’s been sent to the Middle East to carry the pre-planned U.S. message – we will only support a cease fire when Israel wins, or Israel neutralizes Hezbollah, or Hezbollah agrees to cease fire conditions that insure Israel’s goals. Since none of those things are going to happen, she’ll fail. Then the neocons [who are already yapping] will demand her resignation because she’s weak and ineffective [not mentioning that what they sent her to do couldn’t be done]. Then the Administration will get back to the business of starting a war with Iran.
I wonder if Bush will replace Condi with John Bolton? It wouldn’t surprise me a bit. Bush wouldn’t have to worry about his confirmation, and he could be bully extraordinaire to his heart’s content…
