Looks like ABC and Disney are going ahead with the Path to 911. I guess there’s enough money invested in the movie, and enough political force behind it to make it just too tempting to back down now. And George Bush is going to be a pop-up in the middle of it with his 911 speech. It’s going to be a hard call to decide whether to ignore it, or to go after it tooth and toenail. The latter choice is dangerous – looking like a bunch of defensive, raving liberals. A much more successful plan would be to demonstrate that it is a well-planned, dirty trick. I’m not sure we know that yet. But, if it’s true, that’s they way to go. Showing that it distorts the facts is okay. Showing that it’s the brainchild of a bunch of Right Wing idealogues is better. Best is connecting it with the Administration directly.
