doubts…

We would hope that as the evidence continues to mount, what we’ll hear in the Press is falsified intelligence instead of false intelligence.  This is from the period when Vice President Cheney and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby were making personal visits to the C.I.A. to try to evoke the kind of intelligence reports they wanted to hear; from the period when the White House Iraq Group was meeting to popularize a war with Iraq; from the time when Judith Miller was churning out articles in the New York Times about Iraq’s supposed weaponry; from the days when Laurie Mylroie was writing her book, Bush vs. the Beltway : How the CIA and the State Department Tried to Stop the War on Terror; from a time, it seems, when the Administration was geared towards finding any excuse to go to war with Iraq – regardless of the truth.
