bulletproof?

So, it looks like the sun’s setting on the field of battle. Harry Whittington mercifully escaped mostly intact, having missed losing right his eye by a few millimeters and carrying buckshot in his heart muscle and liver into his future. Did Cheney dodge another bullet by simply ignoring all criticism? I watched a little of his speech to the Wyoming State House today – folksy, down home, returning hero. Nothing showing about the fact that he and his boys lied us into a war that’s killed 2273 American children and thousands of Iraqis, stirring the Middle East into a holy fever pitch. Not much evidence that anyone was noticing what they’ve done to the National Debt, or the U.N. Nothing showing about Katrina, or the failure to effectively combat the Terrorists. No sign that anyone minds ignoring of the Fourth Amendment. No understanding that shooting clipped-wing domestic quail on a game preserve isn’t exactly sport, or that "Harry, I didn’t see you" isn’t exactly on point when you’ve just shot a fellow hunter. Nothing that showed that anyone got it that we’re not sending toy soldiers to Iraq; that playing with guns is dangereous; or that Mr. Cheney looks and talks like a great big guy, but is really a very unengaged and reckless little boy…

My definition: reckless: A guy who either hasn’t had a wreck yet, or who ignored the lesson of a wreck he did have, so he drives as if wrecks don’t occur – "wreckless." This one looked like a wreck to me…
