Where do they even find such people?

James Mountain Inhofe is the Senior U.S. Senator from Oklahoma. He’s the one that proudly announced yesterday that he’d never had a Homosexual or Divorce in the history of his family. He’s famous for such outrageous statements. After the Oklahoma City bombing, he stated that there probably weren’t very many casualties because federal employees wouldn’t be at their desks at 9:00 instead they would be off having coffee somewhere. After 911, he said, "One of the reasons I believe the spiritual door was opened for an attack against the United States of America is that the policy of our Government has been to ask the Israelis, and demand it with pressure, not to retaliate in a significant way against the terrorist strikes that have been launched against them." And on the Global Warming "hoax" he opines, "Global warming is still considered to be a theory and has not come close to being sufficiently proven." He’s anti-abortion, anti-Gay, and has focused his efforts on getting English to be our official language. Oh yeah, did I mention that he’s a Republican, a Christian Dominionist, and the recipient of a lot of money from the Petroleum lobby?

Why would anyone elect such a person to the U.S. Senate? No wonder Bush and Cheney are able to get away with doing whatever they want to do…

    Got a ‘minute’? [I don’t ; 2 graduations]
The Bush administration invaded Iraq claiming Saddam Hussein had tried to buy yellowcake uranium in Niger. As much of Washington knew, and the world soon learned, the charge was false. Worse, it appears to have been the cornerstone of a highly successful “black propaganda” campaign with links to the White House
