Bush Detainee Plan Adds to World Doubts Of U.S., Powell Says
I’ll admit that this Administration has made me paranoid. Suddenly, there’s a flurry about detainees and the Geneva Conventions, War with Iran, the Wiretapping Bill, and I find myself trying to figure what they’re up to.
The choices:
- Flood us with stuff to get our minds off of the midterm elections.
- Get things through the Congress before they lose control of it.
I vote for #2. I’m not sure why yet. I think it’s President Bush’s petulence and urgency. I’ll get back to you on that. But I know the answer to all of his plans:
