1 Boring Old Man

This is the E.P.A.’s response to a subpoena from the House Global Warming Committee investigating the E.P.A.’s refusal to  obey the Supreme Court’s mandate on greenhouse gases. Note the part I’ve highlight in red – "important Executive Branch institutional prerogatives." Now, the Bush Administration is applying their made-up Unitary Executive Theory to the Supreme Court [which they happen to control anyway]. Cheney/Addington is written all over this response. Add the E.P.A. to the list of infiltrated and inoperative agencies. Remember that Cheney’s first real government job [as an assistant to Donald Rumsfeld during the Nixon Administration] was to make sure that their Office of Economic Opportunity stopped bringing so many suits [was rendered inoperative]…
