In the past, the United States has done some amazing things with science in a crunch. In World War II, the collection of scientists in the Manhattan Project certainly got the job done. When the Russians sent up a Satellite, DARPA, another scientific think tank, got our Satellite up in short order. That group went on to create the Internet. Why not do the same thing with Global Warming and Energy Independence – two related scientific problems? It’s not just a good campaign idea, it’s a good idea all on its own – a think tank with plenty of money and independence focused only on solving these problems…
