I think the opening sequence with the trains colliding says a lot. I just keep wondering why people would vote for this guy? and then the thought comes up that perhaps they aren’t voting for him, but rather voting AGAINST Obama. That has to be it, because I cannot imagine siding with someone who, after 26 years of public life, is so poorly spoken, cannot decide what he believes, and doesn’t stand on his record. You can call a person a “maverick” all day long, but at the end of the day if they don’t have new ideas and can’t prove that they’ve been at the forefront of change then it’s just lipservice. Yes, it really is putting lipstick on a pig at that point. I know, I know..I’m preaching to the choir here.
