Jim Martin…

GA-Sen: The DSCC is investing heavily in Georgia. They have made their first ad buy in the state supporting Democrat Jim Martin against Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss.
By late Tuesday, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had bought about $500,000 worth of advertising time on at least five metro Atlanta television stations for spots to support Democratic senate candidate Jim Martin in his uphill battle against incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Moultrie. The spots begin running today.

There may well be more where that came from, too.
The size of the DSCC order is substantial. At $514,950, it is much larger than any weekly TV ad buy made by Martin since of the start of his campaign. The ad is scheduled to run 369 times by next week.

This race made its way onto the national radar in midsummer, and it has now become one of the nation’s key battlegrounds for control of the Senate…

My friend, representative, and neighbor for 30+ years, Jim Martin is like Obama, born honest, born for public service. He’ll be a fabulous Senator. His opponent, Saxby Chambliss, is a Bush clone and the guy who "swift-boated" Max Cleland [a triple amputee from his Viet Nam service]. If you know some voters in Georgia, give them a call. Now the DSCC is finally picking up some of the tab. Thankfully! We’re all about donated out down here. Jim Martin is a "ten"

I just forwarded this to my entire class reunion site membership AND my 25 Atlanta contacts on Facebook. Every vote counts, right? 😀

Absolutely. Chambliss is now going after Martin who was Director of DHR when a child died because of DFCS screwed up. Of course DFCS screwed up. They were under-manned and under-funded. Jim was a Saint to even take on that job. Chambliss “swift boated” Cleland. Now he’s doing the same with Jim. I’m writing the AJC as we apeak…
