lead-up…

Sometimes, the long "lead-up" isn’t such a good idea. The endless Presidential Campaign was exhausting. and I’m not sure that it was all that helpful. The time from November 4th to January 20th now seems interminable. Too much time to think, to let the hoardes of pundits weigh in with opinions.Too much pre-game show.

Which brings me to, of course, the Sugar Bowl yesterday. All of the Sportscasters had their say over and over in the days before the game. Expectations for Alabama were high in the lead-up period. As for the game, Utah won it hands down from the opening kickoff to the final whistle. They would’ve won it, no matter when, where, what, or who they played. Only an epidemic of Sleeping Sickness or a plane crash could stop them. So much for the lead-up:
