Sunday, I was talking about the poverty report coming out [what’s a liberal to do?…]. Well, it’s out now [One in seven Americans is living in poverty, Census shows]. It says" the highest number in the half-century that the government has kept such statistics." Percentage-wise, it’s the highest since 1965. Remember back then? It was President Johnson’s War on Poverty. So they’ve done it – reversed every single bit of progress we’ve made in the last 50 years. They think they’re going to blame it on Obama and elect a bunch of Republicans who will make things right.
They may succeed in getting people to blame it on Obama for a bit, but that second part – not going to happen. This is what they did to Jimmy Carter, then Reagan pulled us out of the doldrums by slashing taxes and tripling the national debt. Not going to happen this time. Trust me…
