We returned from a long weekend in the North Carolina mountains and like most have been glued to the Weather Channel as the winds howled in the trees here in North Georgia with enough power to send limbs flying and knock out our power for a while. It was hard to imagine that the winds this far away were from a storm in New York City, but that was the case. The place we stayed over the weekend [Lake Junaluska, NC] is now covered with snow from Sandy. For those of you in the Northeast where Sandy landed, best wishes and much sympathy now and for the long road ahead…
