He’s going to have to rebuild his whole system to plot Bush’s plummeting numbers. But what’s hard for me is that this Administration is still able to hold us hostage because they planned so well, centralizing and consolidating their power over their six and a half years. Using block voting and the President’s veto power, the Democratic Majority has been stopped on the floor of Congress – though they’ve done better in the Committee Rooms. It’s hard work not to be discouraged these days, when the best "good news" one can come by is that Newt Gingrich isn’t running for President and Bush and Cheney haven’t bombed Iran today.
