Don’t you know these guys were ticked off when Clinton got elected and stayed in office for eight years? They did everything in their power to shut him dowm. Clinton’s focus was on a different axis, the growing Terrorist Organizations in the Middle East. The Reagan\/Bush refugees were outraged that he was worried about Al Qaeda. They sulked in their American Enterprise Institute<\/strong> meetings and wrote articles about the dangers of Iraq and Iran [and Clinton]. They formed the Project for the New American Century<\/strong> to revive their Reagan American Dominionist trajectory. And then along came George the 2nd with his trusty sidekick, Karl Rove,who had figured out how to con the Religious Right, and their formula for success came together.<\/p>\n

I guess I thought they’d played into Al Qaeda’s hands, going to war with Iraq after 911. I think I had it backwards. Osama Bin Laden played into theirs, giving them an excuse to carry on with their interventionist schemes. <\/p>\n

What do I think? I think it’s really hard to make friends when you’re always messing around with other people’s business. That’s what I think.<\/p>\n
