The usual way one measures the economy is the gross domestic product [GDP]. Since he didn&#8217;t mention it, I looked it up:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"220\" height=\"148\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/1boringoldman.com\/images\/facts7.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">I didn&#8217;t see much in the graph other than the &#8216;dip&#8217; when Bush was elected. Then I ran across a link today on Huffpo about the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/s\/nm\/20060127\/bs_nm\/economy_gdp_dc\"><strong>4th quarter figures in 2005<\/strong><\/a>. It&#8217;s shown as % increase over the last quarter:   <\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"221\" height=\"196\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/1boringoldman.com\/images\/facts6.gif\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">I expect Rove knew this when he made his speech. The 4th quarter economic indicator says that the economy is stagnant. <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Spin again? <\/p>\n<hr size=\"1\" \/>\n<p>Just gathering facts so I can talk back to the T.V. set during the annual Bush spinfest A.K.A.
