The top part is Libby writing what he wanted McClellan to say. The bottom was added by Cheney:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wid.ap.org\/documents\/libbytrial\/jan30\/GX53201.PDF\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"401\" height=\"481\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.1boringoldman.com\/images\/libbycheneymemo.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Cheney writes:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Not going to protect one staffer &amp; sacrifice the guy <strike>the Pres<\/strike> that was asked to stick his neck in the meat grinder because of the incompetence of others.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"justify\">The marked out piece, the Pres, is the part I missed:<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"501\" height=\"163\" border=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.1boringoldman.com\/images\/the_pres.jpg\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">I suspect he was going to write:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Not going to protect one staffer &amp; sacrifice the guy the President asked to stick his neck in the meat grinder because of the incompetence of others.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p align=\"justify\">but thought better of putting it down on paper [since Scott McClellan and the rest of us were to be kept in the dark about the President&#8217;s involvement].<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">That implicates <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Bush<\/strong><\/font>, <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Cheney<\/strong><\/font>, <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Rove<\/strong><\/font>, <u><strong>and<\/strong><\/u> <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Libby<\/strong><\/font> in the C.I.A. Leak.<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">   <\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">[again]<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">   <\/div>\n<div align=\"center\">That implicates <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Bush<\/strong><\/font>, <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Cheney<\/strong><\/font>, <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Rove<\/strong><\/font>, <u><strong>and<\/strong><\/u> <font color=\"#990000\"><strong>Libby<\/strong><\/font> in the C.I.A.
