After a period of diversions, it seems like things are refocusing on the important issues: the whole prewar intelligence lies and the wartime power grab, including the eavesdropping on Americans without judicial review. While the corruption scandals, the absurd domestic and foreign policy decisions, and the runaway spending are tempting, they don’t move us forward in getting these people into the courtroom, or getting their chronic deceit into the minds of the people. I guess there’s a new rule:
Follow the Treason
Note: I think the term works:
trea·son noun
- Violation of allegiance toward one’s country or sovereign, especially the betrayal of one’s country by waging war against it or by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies.
- A betrayal of trust or confidence.
