I seem to be hung up on chess analogies these days. Probably because this Rove thing feels like a game of chess to me. It’s not. It’s for real. The question du jour is can Fitzgerald checkmate Rove, catch him in enough of his endless lies to indict him. But, there’s another thing nagging at me. This isn’t the real game.
The real game is the takeover of our government by a bunch of Neoconservative, Idealogogues lead by Mr. Cheney from the halls of A.E.I. and the P.N.A.C. who have inserted their own foreign policy into ours through the back door [using Mr. Bush as the key to get in power]. Rove may be the "Architect," but he’s not the "Developer."
The real game is with Bush and Cheney, who won the last rounds [2000, 2002, 2004] and created the biggest mess in our short history. We can’t afford to lose this one [2006]…
