"We’re not leaving Iraq while I’m President."

"That would be a huge mistake."

"Frustrated? Sometimes I’m frustrated, but rarely surprised."

"This war is a drain on people’s psyche. I understand that." 

What does he mean when he says such things? He speaks without ever explaining his dogmatic pronouncements. I guess why questions are just too hard for him. What does this mean? "Frustrated? Sometimes I’m frustrated, but rarely surprised."

When I look at his words without seeing the smirk or hearing the irritation in his voice, I wonder if he even thinks about what he’s saying. He seems to be just slogging through his days saying, "I’m right. I’m right. I’m still right. I’ve always been right."…
