an inconvenient truth versus a convenient lie…

I think we’ve learned enough to now know that the 2000 Presidential Election was really about the future of America’s relationship with oil. Al Gore, as it turns out, is all about his "Inconvenient Truth" – the truth that beyond the fact that we’ll ultimately run out of fossil fuels, if we don’t curb their use we’ll roast in our own juices first from Global Warming. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are all about [American Oil Industrialists] getting access to more oil by going to war in the Middle East – an actual war of conquest. I don’t think back in 2000, we knew what we were choosing between an inconvenient truth and a convenient lie. I sure didn’t.
